Award Nominations

In 2021, Regional Early Education & Development Inc. held their inaugural Educator Conference and Awards night. This annual event is an opportunity for industry specific professional development, networking accompanied with a night for recognition of the hard work and excellence within the REED team.

This year there are 6 Award categories. The categories, nomination criteria and links to nominations have been included below.

Nominations are open from October to December. There is no limit on nominations, however, each category has a set number of finalists.

Nominations will be presented to a judging panel to select the finalist. The winner of the awards will be selected by REED’s General Manager.

Jill Cameron Educator of the Year Award

Who can be nominated for this award? Educators currently employed by REED

Who can nominate for this award? Parents and Community members

Judging Criteria
·         Has consistently shown high standards of early learning and development to children

·         Has built strong relationships with children and families

·         Proven belief that community is an integral part of their service

Leadership Award

Trainee of the Year Award

Who can be nominated for this award? Employee’s registered as a trainee and currently employed by REED

·         Is actively enrolled and working towards their qualification in Childcare

·         Currently enrolled and completing their qualification in ECEC

·         Excelling in their studies and helping them implement their new found skills in the workplace
